Fundamental Counting Rule
Example
Assume we want to count how many ways we can flip and coin then roll a 6-sided dice and then choose a card from a deck 52 cards.
To count all of the possible ways of doing this we would just multiply:
\[(\text{number of sides of a coin})\cdot(\text{number of sides of the dice})\cdot(\text{number of cards})\]
that is
\[2\cdot 6\cdot 52=624\]
